Today's ride started from Sabangan at 7.30am after my own cooked breakfast of instant noodles and coffee.The 100m bad gravel road after crossing the temporary red bridge over the Chico River,the road condition improves as I enjoy a 10km of rolling downhill winding along with the Chico River.My plan on taking the South Road from Balili to Sagada was abandoned completely when I noticed that it is very remote and just follow the main Halsema Highway until the usual turn-off in Dantay Junction.From here the climb started from 850m to 1500m in Sagada town centre for a distance of 12km.The climbs was quite steady with my lightest gearing of front 24T and rear 34T with averaged speed of 4-5kmh.The weather was hot forcing me to take shelters on many occasions,but the mountains view was gorgoeus and breathtaking.Arriving Sagada at 1pm with many Inns and guesthouses for your choice of accommodation.Saw quite many Westerner tourists around but not even a bicycle except me with a heavily loaded strange bike,much to the staring eyes of the locals. The Yellow House is my choice as it comes with hot bath ,WiFi,clean room with curtains for 3 windows thats makes the room very airy,and it only cost 300php,the best room I had stayed and yet it is the cheapest so far. The rain started soon as I settled in my room so just rested in bed ,went out for dinner 5.30pm,I was so hungry that i ordered 3 dishes of mixed veg,2pcs of fried chicken ,a bowl of beef soup and rice,a very filling and satisfied dinner but the bill was a surprise and unbelievable 270php,almost equivalent to my room rate. It was also my mistake not to ask the price first,once beaten twice shy,I know what to do on my next meal out.Back to my room to check out the tourist map of Sagada for tomorrow's plan
