Today started very late at 10am compared to my normal start by 6 or 7. Not because i were overslept,the reason is i wanted to solve the problem on my rear inner tube kept rubbing against the rim wall or tape,causing a cut line against the tube. I removed the rim tape and smoothened it with sandpaper,fixed it back with my only good tube left as 3 other tubes were beyond patching. Luckily down the street one hardware shop is selling the inner tubes,happily bought two for 210php. Now i don't have to worry for spare and hopefully no more rear punctured after the work done on the rim tape. Have my late breakfast at the same eatery last night and by the time i started at 11,the sun was high shining on me,made worst by the lost of my bandana somewhere. After 10km of climbing to 1285m peak and then all the way downhill to Lagawe to a low of 500m. Now i am really feeling the heat after being on the mountains the past few days. Lagawe is a small town but you can find many things,market,bakery,supermarket,many cheap eateries,even a bike shop i noticed when i walked around. No puncture today,keeping my fingers cross and hope it stays till the end of my tour.Star Lodge has a 12h and 24h rate,i am taking the 12h rate of 350php instead of 24h of 500php, but i can only check in at 5pm and leave at 5 am. But the lady owner was kind to allow me ((I told her i am Malaysian) to put my panniers to the room,changed to a walking clothing went to town and back at 5pm.Lagawe is not a tourist town with any attractions,but a stopover for going to Banaue or Sagada.
